About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The wine takes its name from the old Bianchi family estate, in the heart of the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi area. The grapes are selected with care in the vineyard.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand in mid-October. After gentle pressing, the must is rapidly chilled and left to settle. 70% ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled 14–16 °C for 8–10 days. The remaining 30% ferments in 50-hectolitre oak barrels. The winemaking methods are designed to preserve the natural aromatic character of the variety.
Ageing
The wine stays about 3 months in the vessels in which it fermented (steel tanks and 50-hectolitre oak barrels). It is then bottled and matured a further 6 months in the winery's cellars.
Tasting profile
Classic Verdicchio character, with a fresh, elegant aroma.
