About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes are grown on clay-limestone soils in the province of Taranto, Puglia.

Vinification

Fermentation and maceration take place under controlled temperatures of 24–28 °C.

Ageing

The wine matures in French oak barrels for 3–6 months.

Tasting profile

A fresh, youthful wine with a distinctive wild-berry character on both the nose and palate.

Label / history

The relatively young "12 e Mezzo" range was developed by Vigne e Vini following research and tastings. Its name means “twelve and a half” in Italian and refers directly to the wines’ alcohol level. The range comprises four wines: Malvasia del Salento, Rosato, Primitivo and Negroamaro.
