About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on limestone and clay soils in the Rosso Piceno area, which spans four provinces: Ancona, Macerata, Fermo and Ascoli Piceno.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in mid-October and placed in small crates. The crates are kept in refrigerated rooms before going to the winery. After destemming, fermentation takes place in 100-litre stainless steel tanks fitted with pressure-differential and temperature-control systems.
Ageing
After fermentation the wine is transferred to new oak barrels and aged for 12–16 months.
