About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the winery's own vineyards in the municipality of San Marcello, in the province of Ancona. The vines grow at 100–150 m above sea level, mainly in clay soils, planted at 5,000 vines per hectare. Yields average no more than 2 kg of grapes per vine.
Grapes
Made entirely from Lacrima di Morro d'Alba.
Vinification
Harvest takes place in mid-September, with the grapes placed in small crates and taken to the winery. There they are carefully sorted and destemmed. After pressing, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then macerates on the skins for 20 days, with the must stirred daily.
