About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The single cru La Scarrone lies near the winery in the commune of Castiglione. Its vines are more than 60 years old.
Vinification
A short cold maceration precedes alcoholic fermentation, which takes place in open stainless-steel vats for 10–12 days. Malolactic fermentation occurs in barriques. The wine is bottled without filtration.
Ageing
The wine matures for 16 months in oak barrels, followed by two months in stainless steel before bottling.
Tasting profile
Finesse and elegance accompany a juicy, lively character. The wine is cheerful and convivial.
