About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the 1.3 ha Rocche vineyard in the commune of Castiglione Falletto. The site faces southeast, and the vines are 47 years old.
Grapes
The wine is made from a selection of grapes from the vineyard.
Vinification
For the 2020 vintage, the grapes were harvested on 1 October. Vinification takes place in stainless-steel tanks, with 28 days of skin contact: four days of cold maceration followed by 24 days of fermentation at 30–32 °C, with daily punch-downs. Malolactic fermentation lasts four weeks in barriques.
Ageing
The wine matures for 30 months in large Slavonian oak casks.

Sensuous, smooth and complex, with firm tannins and a rich texture.

The label depicts walnuts in hard shells, echoing the wine’s firm tannins and rich texture.
