About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Masseria Altemura estate lies in the heart of Salento, equidistant from the Ionian and Adriatic seas surrounding Puglia. It covers approximately 300 ha, of which 150 ha are vineyards. The site has a mild climate and is exposed to sea breezes.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness and gently pressed at the winery. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks, followed by secondary fermentation using the Charmat method for 3–4 months.
