Vineyard and terroir
The vineyard lies in the historic Dardi–Mondoca sector of Bussia, in the municipality of Monforte d’Alba. It is situated at 350 m above sea level, faces east–south-east and is planted with Nebbiolo of clonal selection. The vines are described as 20 years old.
The vineyard profile identifies Elveziano soils and Diano sandstone. The winery catalogue also refers to the combination of Diano sandstone and Sant’Agata marl as the geological basis of the wine.
