Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from hillside vineyards in the commune of Cormons, within Collio in northeastern Italy near the Slovenian border. The vineyards are sheltered by the Alps to the north and exposed to warm air from the Adriatic Sea to the south. The soils consist mainly of marl and sandstone.
Vinification
Carefully selected grapes are harvested at ideal ripeness and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures in 400 L oak barrels, followed by a period of rest after bottling in the winery’s temperature-controlled cellars.
Tasting profile
Complex and rich.
