Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards are grown in Collio on sandstone and marl soils. The area is sheltered by the Alps and influenced by gentle winds from the Adriatic Sea, creating a distinctive microclimate. The soils contribute subtle mineral notes to the wine.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at full ripeness and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 15–17 °C.
Ageing
Ten per cent of the wine ages for four months in 400-litre Allier oak barrels. It is then blended with the stainless-steel portion and rests for an additional, unspecified period in stainless-steel tanks.
Tasting profile
The nose is complex and rich, with a character shaped partly by fermentation and oak ageing. The palate begins full and rich, then becomes increasingly harmonious and refined, with subtle mineral notes.
