Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the Quercetonda vineyard, whose name the wine bears.
Grapes
The wine is made from Prugnolo Gentile, a variety of Sangiovese.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in late September and fermented in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine remains in stainless-steel tanks for 8 months, followed by at least 2 years in oak barriques, 50% of which are new. After bottling, it rests for a further 12 months in the estate’s cellars.
