Questo vino
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and vinified in the traditional way at a controlled temperature.
Tasting profile
A soft, dry red. Nero d'Avola responds differently to each terroir, giving anything from elegant, fruit-forward wines to powerful, sometimes quite bold expressions.
Serving and pairing
Pairs well with red meat dishes, pasta and cheeses.
Label / history
The name of the grape means "black from Avola", referring both to the dark colour of the grapes and to the variety's geographical origins. Sicily holds 98% of the world's Nero d'Avola plantings and the islanders consider the grape their own, although the variety originated in Calabria, in southern mainland Italy.
