Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie in the hills around Siena, in the Chianti Colli Senesi subzone. The area is a varied patchwork of mesoclimates and soils, ranging from clay and sand to marl, which brings out the fresh, spicy and fruity side of Sangiovese. Cool breezes from the nearby Mediterranean soften the daytime heat and help the grapes reach balanced phenolic ripeness. The grapes have pure aromas and a bright character, without too much weight.
Grapes
The blend is mainly Sangiovese with a small proportion of Canaiolo.
Vinification
Traditional winemaking methods are used, preserving the classic Chianti Colli Senesi style: fruity and approachable, without a dominant oak influence.
Ageing
The wine is aged in neutral vessels, which keeps the structure soft and the focus on the fruit and terroir.
Tasting profile
A soft, delicately structured dry red. Spicy red fruit and light herbal notes, with the natural freshness of the terroir. Fruity and approachable, with no dominant oak influence.
