Label / history
The range takes its name from the Castles of Romeo and Juliet near Montorso Vicentino. In 1530, Luigi da Porto lived in a villa overlooking the ruins of two medieval castles associated with the Montecchi and Capuleti families. These ruins are said to have inspired his novella La Giulietta, which later became the basis for Shakespeare’s play.
