Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are cultivated around Vicenza on basaltic and volcanic soils. Casa Defrà traces its origins to the Cielo family farmhouse at the foot of the Colli Vicentini, where the family planted its first vineyard in 1908.

Tasting profile
A mineral expression of Pinot Grigio. Maritime nuances accompany aromas of green apple, lemon juice and spring flowers. The palate combines a distinctly savoury quality with fruit, sweetness and freshness in harmonious balance.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 12–14 °C. Pair with vegan, vegetarian and seafood dishes, dairy products and fresh cheeses. Suggested dishes include seafood risotto, Sicilian arancine, stuffed squid, octopus and potato salad, sweet-pepper focaccia, vegetable couscous, Gruyère flan and fried mozzarella bites.
Label / history
Casa Defrà means Casa dei Fratelli Cielo and identifies the family’s original farmhouse. The family established itself there in 1908, beginning a wine enterprise that has continued for four generations.
