Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the historic Monvigliero cru in the La Morra area. Yields are deliberately kept low.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand during the first ten days of October. Fermentation and a 35-day maceration take place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25–26 °C. The wine is bottled without filtration or fining to preserve its natural berry character.
Ageing
The wine matures for 30 months in large French oak casks.
Tasting profile
The nose combines berries and fresh grass, recalling the flowering gardens of Piedmont. Fresh red fruit and floral notes lead the palate, accompanied by a light earthy touch. The wine has a satisfying texture and full flavour.
Serving and pairing
Pair with meat or cheese, or serve after dinner with dark chocolate.
Vintage notes
In 2020, the Italian growing season was warmer than usual, resulting in an earlier harvest. Warm days and cool nights provided ideal conditions for late-ripening Nebbiolo.
Label / history
The Monvigliero cru has produced wines for the estate since the time of Grandfather Domenico.
