Vineyard and terroir

The estate’s 12 hectares of vineyards are in Signa, the western suburb of Florence, several dozen kilometres from the city centre. They lie around 80 metres above sea level on limestone soils with thin layers of chalk. The vines average 10 years of age, and the site has a warm microclimate.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place in wooden barrels and steel vats. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation.

Ageing

The wine matures in oak barrels for approximately 20–24 months.

Tasting profile

Fresh and well balanced.

Label / history

Enrico Fossi names each of his wines and designs an individual label for it, using sayings, quotations and aphorisms that reflect the wine’s history and character.
