Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards have east/southwest exposure.
Grapes
The 2022 blend comprises 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 30% Sangiovese and 10% Syrah.
Vinification
The bunches are harvested by hand and carefully selected. Each grape variety is vinified separately in stainless-steel tanks. Spontaneous fermentation proceeds under temperature control, never exceeding 28–29°C, while maceration lasts approximately 20 days.
Ageing
The wine matures for approximately three months in French-oak barriques, followed by further maturation in bottle before release.
Technical data
Bolgheri Rosso DOC. The published vintage is 2022, with 14.5% alcohol. Contains sulfites. Ageing capacity exceeds 10 years.
Tasting profile
Ruby red in colour, with aromas of sour cherry, blackberry and plum. The palate is structured, with tannins carrying through the finish, balanced by sweet fruit, woodland notes and vibrant acidity.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 18–20°C. Suggested pairings include cured meats, pasta—especially with full-flavoured sauces—red meats and medium-aged cheeses.
