Vineyard and terroir
Pinot Grigio prefers a cooler climate and suits the Veneto. The nearby sea, steady breezes and nighttime temperature inversion give the grapes a clear mineral character and pure expression. The wine is organic.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, then destemmed and pressed into stainless steel tanks, where fermentation starts naturally.
Ageing
The wine ages for 8 months in the same stainless steel tanks, longer than is usual for entry-level Veneto wines. It is fined with bentonite before bottling.
Tasting profile
Well structured and aromatic, with a clear mineral character and pure expression. In style it is not far removed from Pinot Grigio from Collio.
