Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards are in the Prepotto area of Collio DOC, on an east-facing hillside at 300 metres above sea level. The area's distinctive soils and climate help white varieties express their character.
Vinification
The wine is made using traditional methods in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
It ages on the lees for at least three months, developing greater richness and complexity, followed by a further two months of rest after bottling.
Label / history
Ronco dei Folo is one of Folonari’s most recent acquisitions. Folonari was founded by Francesco Folonari in 1825 in Valcamonica, in the Veneto region. In the mid-19th century, the family moved to Brescia, in the foothills of the Alps, where it established a winery. During the second half of that century, Folonari began bottling as well as producing wine, an unusual practice at the time. Francesco Folonari aimed to make good-quality, affordable wines for everyday drinking, a philosophy the company continues to follow.
