Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from two holdings in the municipality of Barolo: 2.2 hectares in Cannubi Boschis and 0.6 hectares in Cannubi. Cannubi Boschis was planted between 1967 and 1990, while the Cannubi parcel was planted in 2016.
The historic Cannubi site combines Tortonian and Helvetian soils formed in different geological eras. Their conjunction creates a particularly complex and rich soil. A substantial sandy component shapes the wine’s aromatic development, producing intense, fruit-led fragrances in youth that become increasingly spicy with evolution.
Grapes
100% Nebbiolo for Barolo.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place for 25–30 days in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks fitted with automatic pump-over systems.
Ageing
The wine matures for at least three years in traditional large-capacity Slavonian oak barrels of 5,000 litres.
Tasting profile
Intense and fruity aromas in youth evolve toward spicier tones with maturity. The palate is dry, moderately tannic, full-bodied and robust.
