Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
Lugheluna is made from selected fruit grown in the cooperative members’ oldest vineyards, located in areas suited to Vermentino di Gallura DOCG. Vineyard production is 6,000–8,000 kg/ha.
Grapes
100% Vermentino di Gallura.
Vinification
The grapes are initially crushed and destemmed, followed by a brief cold maceration on the skins. Gentle pressing and static settling of the must precede fermentation at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
Careful refinement contributes to the finished wine, though the vessel and duration are not specified.
Technical data
Alcohol: 14% vol.
Tasting profile
The broad, refined bouquet ranges from floral and fruity notes to dried-fruit nuances. Complex and persistent on the palate, it recalls ripe fruit that develops toward honey and walnut tones.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 8–10 °C. Pair with seafood and fish, including grilled or baked preparations. Its freshness also suits raw seafood, while its structure complements fine and blue cheeses.
Label / history
The wine’s imagery is rooted in a luminous Gallura moon casting white light over the land and sea breezes moving through the grapes. Lugheluna emerges metaphorically from the darkness of the cellar into moonlight.
