Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in a Mediterranean area protected by the World Wildlife Fund.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in mid-September and sorted, followed by two weeks of skin maceration. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place at controlled temperature in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine spends seven months on its lees in stainless-steel tanks. After bottling, it rests for several more months in the winery’s cellar before release.
Tasting profile
Black-fruit flavours are framed by velvety tannins.
Label / history
The Coste a Preola range and Gorghi Tondi take their names from the “Lago Preola e Gorghi Tondi” nature reserve.
