Vineyard and terroir

The 7 ha vineyard surrounds the Chapel of San Lorenzo in Colli Berici. It lies at 50–100 m above sea level, faces south and has marl soils. Yields are limited to 25 hl/ha.

Vinification

For the 2011 vintage, the must underwent maceration and fermentation in vertical vats for 14 days, followed by malolactic fermentation in barrels. The wine was lightly filtered before bottling.

Ageing

The wine matured for 18 months in French barriques, half of which were new, followed by a further 12 months in bottle in the winery’s cellars.

Tasting profile

Highly expressive.

Label / history

The wine is produced only in the finest vintage years. Its name comes from the Chapel of San Lorenzo, which is depicted on the label in a pencil drawing—a traditional label style for Inama wines.
