Grapes
The blend is 70% Chardonnay, contributing finesse and elegance, and 30% Pinot Noir, adding structure and longevity. Millesimato wines contain at least 85% fruit from the stated year; the 2019 was produced entirely from a single harvest.
Vinification
The grapes were hand-picked in the second half of August and gently processed with both a low-pressure pneumatic press and a vertical press. Primary fermentation took place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
Twenty per cent of the Chardonnay remained in oak barrels until spring. After bottling, the wine matured on its lees for 48 months.
Tasting profile
Layered and juicy, with aromatic complexity, freshness and softness. The Chardonnay lends finesse and elegance, while the Pinot Noir provides structure and longevity.
Vintage notes
Millesimato wines are produced only in years with particularly favourable conditions, and 2019 was such a year in Franciacorta. Despite challenging weather and a late harvest, the grapes attained excellent quality and aromatic complexity because the vines’ resources were concentrated in relatively few bunches. Hail damage was minimal, and July rain helped the fruit achieve balance. The vintage received five out of five points in Bibenda 2025 and a silver medal with 91 points out of 100 at IWSC 2024.
