Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from Castelnuovo dell’Abate in Montalcino, Siena. The wine explores the expression of Sangiovese Grosso together with smaller quantities of other red varieties grown on the estate.
Grapes
Sangiovese with smaller quantities of international red varieties.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand. Fermentation and maceration take place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled 24–26°C, supported by daily pumping over and délestage.
Ageing
After racking, the wine is returned to stainless steel to complete its ageing.
Tasting profile
An intense ruby-red wine with violet reflections. The complex nose combines ripe red fruit, blue flowers and spice. Broad and smooth on the palate, it has medium body, good structure and soft yet concentrated, densely textured sweet tannins.
Label / history
Rosso di Toscana was conceived to explore the expressive potential of the estate’s Sangiovese Grosso when combined with smaller amounts of other red grapes.
