Origins\nGiovanna Morganti's love of winemaking came from her father, a renowned oenologist. He gave her a small farm with olive groves, which she turned into a winery.\n\n### Early career\nAfter receiving a classical education, Giovanna began working at San Felice Wines in the mid-1980s, gaining experience and carrying out a project to plant around 300 traditional Tuscan grape varieties.\n\n### Le Boncie\nGiovanna now owns 3 hectares of vineyards at Le Boncie, planted mainly with Sangiovese. She has also planted Ciliegiolo, Colorino, Foglia Tonda, and Prugnolo to help preserve biodiversity, and she focuses on biodynamic farming principles.
