Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
Produced from the oldest vineyards in Santo Stefano, in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene D.O.C.G. area. The vines are 35–40 years old and grow on the particularly steep slopes locally known as Rive.
Vinification
The grapes are softly pressed, and the juice ferments without skins at a controlled temperature. The wine undergoes secondary fermentation by the Charmat method in pressurised stainless-steel tanks, with both temperature and pressure controlled.
Technical data
Alcohol: 11.5% vol. Residual sugar: 7 g/L. Bottle pressure: 4.5 atm. Format: 0.75 L. Harvest runs from mid-September to mid-October.
Tasting profile
Straw yellow, with pronounced citrus and fresh vegetal aromas, green-apple nuances and white flowers, often accompanied by a fresh-bread note. The palate is lively and refreshing. Fine, creamy bubbles sustain a long progression of flavour and leave the palate notably clean.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 7–9°C with elaborate fish or vegetable antipasti, seafood dishes and baked fish.
Label / history
The wine is dedicated to the family’s grandfather, Gerardo Ruggeri, in tribute to the passion and devotion with which he tended his steep Rive vineyards. Its story recalls the family’s childhood memories of Gerardo proudly showing them sunlit grapes during September harvest.
