Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow on marl and sandstone soils of Eocene origin.

Vinification

The grapes are gently destemmed, briefly macerated and softly pressed. After clarification, the must ferments at a controlled temperature in small French oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation also takes place in the barrels.

Ageing

The wine ages on its fine lees in the French oak barrels, developing greater flavour and creaminess. It then matures further in bottle in the winery’s cellars, gaining harmony and depth.

Tasting profile

The complex, ample bouquet opens with freshly baked bread and spices, followed by linden blossom, citrus zest and a distinct hint of aromatic herbs. The palate is generous and well balanced, with a creamy, silky texture, a rich fruit profile and refined minerality. The finish is long and mineral, with subtle nutty notes. With bottle age, the aromas become more complex and layered and the palate develops additional nuances.

Serving and pairing

Pair with fish or seafood.

Label / history

The wine was first created in 1998 to celebrate Livio Felluga’s 85th birthday. His sons developed it to reflect their father’s noble, elegant, unwavering and resilient character.
