Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow in light, porous, heat-absorbing soils of marl and sand dating from the Eocene period.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in the first half of September and placed carefully in small crates to keep them intact. The bunches are thoroughly destemmed and given a short maceration to add depth. They are pressed gently, and the clarified juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks under carefully controlled temperatures.
Ageing
After fermentation the wine rests on its lees for several months, which gives a creamier texture, adds complexity and extends its ageing potential. After bottling it continues to mature in cool, temperature-controlled cellars, gradually revealing its nuances while keeping its purity, freshness and character.
Tasting profile
Complex aroma and layered flavours in a calm, harmonious whole. It shows a range of nuances yet remains remarkably well balanced, with a long, clean, aromatic finish and a creamy texture. Overall a beautifully balanced wine with a subtle sense of harmony.
