Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on the Luni plain, between the Ligurian Sea and the Apuan Alps. The soils are pale, sandy and gravelly; they drain well and warm quickly, which helps the grapes keep their aromatic intensity. Sea breezes cool the vineyards, preserve acidity and contribute iodine-like and salty nuances. The climate combines the sunshine of the Tyrrhenian coast with cool air flowing down from the mountains, giving both ripe fruit notes and freshness.
Grapes
A blend of two traditional regional grapes: Vermentino (80%) and Malvasia (20%). Vermentino forms the foundation, bringing freshness, citrus and herbal notes, minerality and a distinctive maritime saltiness. The smaller share of Malvasia softens the structure and rounds the aroma, adding ripe fruit, white flowers and a touch of sweet spice.
Vinification
Vinification takes place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature, preserving the purity of the fruit and the floral aromas.
Ageing
After fermentation the wine spends around four months on fine lees in steel tanks. This adds smoothness and a subtle creaminess to the texture while keeping the acidity lively and the wine fresh.
Tasting profile
Delicate, inviting and fresh, with a soft texture, maritime minerality and an expressive aromatic profile. The nose combines tropical fruit, fresh herbs and a hint of salty sea air. The palate is smooth with a subtle creaminess and lively acidity.
Serving and pairing
Suited to warm spring and summer weather, particularly lunch or dinner by the sea.
