Questo vino

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from selected parcels in the hills of Luni and Castelnuovo Magra. Each year, the parcels showing the greatest organoleptic potential are chosen. Harvesting is performed by hand during the first hours of the morning, followed by rapid transport to the cellar.

Grapes

Vermentino.

Vinification

The grapes undergo approximately eight hours of cold skin maceration before fermentation in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperature.

Ageing

Approximately four months on fine lees in stainless steel.

Technical data

Colli di Luni DOC Vermentino. Alcohol: 13% vol.

Tasting profile

Straw yellow. The nose opens with ripe yellow-fleshed fruit, particularly apricot and peach, complemented by acacia flowers, Mediterranean scrub, saline nuances and balsamic notes. The palate combines vertical, vibrant freshness with marked sapidity, balancing a broad, rounded body and evident alcoholic warmth. The long, persistent finish is almond-like, with ripe-fruit notes returning at the end.

Label / history

First produced in 1992 after an extended period of research and trials in both vineyard and cellar. The project was conceived to express the potential of Vermentino in the local territory, and the wine continues to follow the approach developed through that research.
