Questo vino

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes are grown on the light, sandy soils of the Piana di Luni, enclosed by the Ligurian Sea and the Apuan Alps. The local setting and microclimate give the Vermentino a fresh, delicate character marked by sapidity and summery aromas.

Grapes

Vermentino blended with a small proportion of Malvasia. The Malvasia contributes softness and nuances of flowers, ripe fruit and sea breeze.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperature.

Ageing

Approximately four months on fine lees in stainless steel.

Technical data

Liguria di Levante IGT Bianco. Alcohol: 12.5% vol.

Tasting profile

Greenish yellow. The nose shows pronounced tropical notes of passion fruit and mango, joined by peppermint, white pepper, sage and Mediterranean scrub over a saline, oyster-like background. Soft and enveloping on the palate, balanced by freshness and sapidity, and extending into a fruity finish of good persistence.

Label / history

The name and identity evoke whiteness: the marble mountains framing the plain, the ancient city of Luni and the delicate character of the wine. It brings together two varieties traditionally cultivated in the area—Vermentino and Malvasia.
