Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The technical sheet places the vineyards in Farra d’Isonzo, San Floriano and Cormòns in the Collio DOC. The hilly terrain developed during the Eocene and consists of alternating sandstone and loam rock, including limestone and clay. Its impermeable nature promotes surface runoff, limiting erosion and preventing stagnant water. The vines are Guyot-trained.
Grapes
Chardonnay.
Vinification
The bunches are harvested by hand and destemmed. The must and pulp undergo cold maceration, followed by gentle pressing to separate the juice from the skins. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine remains on its lees for six months before bottling, followed by several additional months of bottle ageing.
Technical data
Available in 0.375 L, 0.75 L and 1.5 L bottles. Alcohol is reported as approximately 12% on the wine page and approximately 13% in the technical sheet.
Tasting profile
Straw yellow with golden highlights. The intense fruit-led aroma combines exotic notes such as pineapple with apple and pear. The palate has good structure, balancing freshness with sapidity.
Label / history
