Storia
The winery was founded in 1980 by Andrea Ferraioli and his wife, Marisa Cuomo, in the village of Furore, with vineyards covering a total of 10 ha. They worked with the oenologist Luigi Moio and concentrated on quality, aiming to stand out in Italy's diverse wine scene while expressing the character of Furore.
Today the winery produces 50,000 bottles a year. Its wines are sold in Italy and abroad.
Terroir
The winery is in the small village of Furore, set among dramatic rocky landscapes and tucked away in a bay. The village was once almost invisible to travellers, which is why it became known as Furore, "the village that doesn't exist." The grapes grow in extreme conditions.
Vinificazione
The winery makes 50,000 bottles a year, working with oenologist Luigi Moio.
Filosofia
Marisa and Andrea focused on quality. They aimed to stand out in Italy's diverse wine scene while expressing what they describe as the unique and extraordinary character of Furore.
