Label / history
Mauro Molino was founded in 1953 and stands near the ancient Abbey of San Martino di Marcenasco, in the small village of Annunziata. The estate owns the crus Vigna Conca and Vigna Gancia, where monastery monks cultivated grapes as far back as 1200. The Molino family also has vineyards in Gallinotto and Gattere, where grapes for Barolo and Barbera are grown.
After Giuseppe Molino died in 1978, his son Mauro Molino took over. Mauro trained as an oenologist at the institute in Alba and worked at various estates in Northern Italy. The estate's philosophy combines the latest developments in winemaking with traditional methods. Its wines are sold in more than thirty countries.
