Vineyard and terroir

A classic expression of Barolo assembled from four crus situated across three municipalities. The combination is intended to convey the representative balance of the wider Barolo area.

Grapes

100% Nebbiolo, trained using the Guyot system.

Vinification

The must macerates on the skins in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks for 10–15 days. The grapes are then pressed, and alcoholic fermentation is completed in stainless steel, taking approximately 20 days overall. Malolactic fermentation also occurs in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.

After maturation, the wine is decanted in stainless steel and bottled without fining or filtration.

Ageing

Around December, the wine is transferred to small oak barrels, of which 15–20% are new and 80% are used. Maturation in oak lasts 24 months.

Tasting profile

Medium-intensity ruby red with garnet hues. The aroma is intense and harmonious, combining ethereal, captivating nuances with a final red-fruit note. The palate is warm and balanced, with good persistence, polished tannins and a delicate vanilla aftertaste. It is already drinking well while retaining the potential for considerable longevity.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 16–18°C. Its initial freshness can be appreciated first, followed by the evolution of its aromas as the wine slowly warms in the glass.

Magnum format is available.
