Vineyard and terroir

Produced from the more delicate grapes of younger, vigorous vineyards in the municipalities of La Morra and Monforte d’Alba, as well as Roero. The vines are trained using the Guyot system.

Grapes

100% Nebbiolo.

Vinification

The grapes from the different vineyards are vinified together using a relatively short fermentation intended to preserve fresh, fruit-driven qualities. Maceration takes place on the skins in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks for approximately six days. The grapes are then pressed, and alcoholic fermentation is completed in stainless steel over approximately 20 days. Malolactic fermentation also occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel.

The wine is subsequently transferred to small oak barrels. After decanting in stainless steel, it is bottled without fining or filtration.

Tasting profile

Intense ruby red with violet reflections. The fresh, floral and fruity aroma combines distinct rosehip and marasca-cherry notes with delicate raspberry nuances. The palate is vinous and notably fresh, with light, delicate tannins, a fine and balanced body, and good aromatic persistence.

Serving and ageing

Serve at 16–18°C. Its initial freshness can be enjoyed as poured, followed by the gradual development of its aromas as the wine warms in the glass. Although conceived for early drinking, it can also develop over several years in bottle. Magnum format is available.
