Vineyard and terroir
Organically grown Sangiovese comes from an estate vineyard near the Fiommarino toponym, between 280 and 350 metres above sea level. The clay-calcareous soils have a substantial skeletal component. The vines are trained to Guyot and spurred cordon at a density of approximately 5,000 plants per hectare.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese from organically grown grapes.
Vinification
Harvesting is carried out strictly by hand, with the grapes collected in crates. The bunches are destemmed and gently pressed before spontaneous alcoholic fermentation.
Ageing
Maturation takes place in large traditional barrels.
Technical data
Alcohol: 15% vol.
Tasting profile
A classically styled yet contemporary red with a delicate, luminous colour. Aromas move from fresh flowers and small forest berries to balsamic tones, spices and Mediterranean scrub. The palate is dynamic and flavourful, with depth and an inviting finish.
Serving and pairing
Suitable for full-flavoured first courses and stuffed pasta, as well as grilled meats and game.

Fiommarino is a local toponym near one of the estate’s finest Sangiovese vineyards. The wine was conceived as a territorial expression connected to local traditions.
