Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the estate-owned “La Villa” vineyard, whose warm microclimate is among the warmest in the Asti area.
Grapes
The wine is made from selected Barbera grapes.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand in late September or early October, pressed immediately and fermented in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 °C. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine remains in the same tanks.
Ageing
The wine rests for a further three months in bottle.

“La Villa” was among the first wines made by brothers Dino and Gianni Bertolino, the current owners of the family estate.
