Questo vino

Vineyard and terroir

100% Barbera from the estate-owned Montebruna vineyard at Rocchetta Tanaro.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place for two weeks in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperature.

Ageing

The wine matures for one year in large oak casks.

Tasting profile

Violet-ruby red. Clearly defined aromas of ripe cherry and small red berries lead into a deep, full and harmonious palate. The finish is long and persistent, ending on an almond note. The overall profile is balanced, fragrant and notably drinkable.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 15–17 °C. Pair with pasta dishes, white or red meat, cheeses and cured meats. Available in 0.375, 0.75, 1.5 and 3-litre formats.

Label / history

Reassembling Montebruna required 35 notarial deeds and seven years of work. Once the many parcels were reunited, artists, poets and musicians were invited to give voice to this Barbera and its landscape—a “land that speaks.”
