Storia
La Palazzetta was founded by Flavio Fanti and Carla Visconti, who began making wine in 1988 with just one hectare of Sangiovese vines. Today, their children, Luca and Tea, continue the story shaped over generations by respect and love for the land. The estate now includes 20 hectares of vineyards and 2500 olive trees southeast of Montalcino, overlooking the Abbey of Sant'Antimo. The winery's natural approach to vineyard care and winemaking was officially recognized with organic certification in 2018.
Terroir
The estate lies southeast of Montalcino, overlooking the Abbey of Sant'Antimo. Winters are not too cold, summers are hot, and spring and autumn are rainy and humid. Soils are stony and limestone-based. These conditions combine to produce aromatic wines with deep color, pleasant acidity, and tannins.
Vinificazione
The estate follows a natural approach to vineyard care, officially recognized with organic certification in 2018.
La Palazzetta produces Rosso di Montalcino DOC, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Sant'Antimo Rosso DOC, and extra virgin olive oil, reflecting the richness of the area and preserving what nature brings each year.
Filosofia
