Tasting profile
The aromatic profile is intense and multifaceted. A soft, polished core is framed by balanced acidity and tannins, with underlying depth and a long, nuanced finish.
Label / history
Enrico Scavino identified the potential of the then relatively undiscovered cru and purchased it in 2001. Bricco Ambrogio was the estate’s only cru to escape the hail of 2002, allowing that difficult vintage to become its debut as an individual Barolo.
