Questo vino

Vineyard and terroir

The wine comes from Cannubi in the village of Barolo, a historically important cru. The parcel lies on the central crest of Cannubi hill at 290 m with a south-south-east exposure. Its soils are composed of Marne di Sant’Agata fossili and limestone. The vines were planted in 1946 and are among the estate’s two oldest vineyards.

The vineyard gives naturally low yields through a combination of environmental factors, including the advanced age of its vines.

Grapes

Nebbiolo.

Tasting profile

Concentration and richness are joined by a harmonious, notably fine texture, expressing the distinctive charm of Nebbiolo.

Label / history

Cannubi has been vinified by the estate since the 1985 vintage.
