Pianirossi

The Pianirossi project began in 1999, when Stefano Cincini looked out over the slopes of Montalcino and promised himself he would create wines of his own, worthy of the land that gave them life.

The winemakers Carlo Ferrini and Gioia Cresti joined Cincini's team as advisers. On their advice, the old, unproductive vines were replaced with new plantings.

Today Pianirossi owns 40 ha of organically farmed vineyards around Montalcino.

The vineyards lie around Montalcino, in the heart of Tuscany, on slopes overlooking the town.

Stefano Cincini's stated aim was to create distinctive wines of his own, worthy of the land that gave them life. Pianirossi says it continues to improve the quality of its wines through the enthusiasm, commitment and dedication of its entire team, and that it is working toward a leading position in both the Italian and international markets.
