Storia
For generations, the Zampaglione family grew tomatoes, grains and legumes in the town of Calitri, in Alta Irpinia.
2002
Pierluigi Zampaglione decided to plant two hectares of Fiano vines at 800 metres above sea level and to create a wine called "Don Chisciotte".
Today
Pierluigi Zampaglione is a family-run winery. Pierluigi and his family personally oversee every stage of production.
Terroir
The estate is in the town of Calitri, in Alta Irpinia, 75 miles (about 120 km) east of Avellino. The Fiano vineyard lies at 800 metres above sea level. Windmill farms dot the Irpinian landscape.
