Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The wine comes from 6 ha of hillside vineyards across the sunny Bucchianico hills in the province of Chieti, Abruzzo. The vines average 10 years of age and grow at approximately 280 m above sea level in medium calcareous clay soils. Significant temperature variations between day and night support grape quality. The vineyards are farmed under certified organic agriculture, trained to Guyot and managed for low, selected yields.
Grapes
100% Montepulciano.
Vinification
The bunches are harvested by hand and softly pressed. Traditional red vinification takes place in stainless-steel tanks, with 20 days of skin maceration.
Ageing
The wine matures for 6 months in stainless-steel tanks and continues its development in bottle.
