Vineyard and terroir
The wine comes from 4 ha of vineyards situated at an average altitude of 400 m above sea level. The soils consist of galestro and alberese—marly and limestone formations. Planting density is 5,000 vines per hectare, trained to spur-pruned cordon at a height of 80 cm.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese grosso.
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in oak barrels.
Ageing
The wine matures for three years in French oak barrels.
Technical data
Declared production is 187.50 hl, corresponding to an availability of 25,000 bottles.
