Vineyard and terroir
The wine draws on 2.70 ha of vineyards planted at an average altitude of 400 m above sea level. The soils consist of galestro and alberese. Planting density is 5,000 vines per hectare, trained to spur-pruned cordon at a height of 80 cm.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese grosso.
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless-steel vats, followed by malolactic fermentation in wood.
Ageing
The wine matures for 10 months in French oak casks.
Technical data
Stated production is 150 hl, with availability of 20,000 bottles.
