Vineyard and terroir

The Sangiovese comes from the estate’s younger vineyards, situated between 150 and 450 m above sea level. The vines are trained using doppio capovolto and spur-pruned cordon systems.

Grapes

100% Sangiovese.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand. The 2024 must ferments under a submerged cap in stainless-steel tanks with indigenous yeasts at a controlled 25–28 °C. Malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel.

Ageing

The wine matures in French oak casks and barriques, followed by bottle ageing. Although wood maturation is not mandatory under the Rosso di Montalcino production rules, it is used to add aromatic complexity and structure while softening the tannic character of young Sangiovese.

Technical data

The 2024 vintage has 14% alcohol.

Tasting profile

Deep ruby red. Red-berry aromas lead to a well-structured, soft and persistent palate with smooth, velvety tannins.

Serving and pairing

Pair with first courses dressed with meat sauces, roasts, grilled meats and medium-aged cheeses.

Label / history

Conceived as a younger and more approachable counterpart to Brunello, it retains substantial structure and personality and is characterized as a “young Brunello.”
